Frequently Asked Questions

Things You Should Know About Roofing!

Q.  Why should I pick Comfort Seal to install my new roof?

A.  The contractor involved with your roofing project is the most important factor of the job.  ANYONE can sell you the materials but getting them installed in a professional and legal manner should be your highest priority.  Comfort Seal has been in business for over 21 years and we have seen many contracting firms come and go during that time.  Can you afford to take chances with an unknown installer, or worse yet, an unlicensed or uninsured contractor?  Remember, in the state of Florida, YOU, the homeowner, can be fined up to $10,000.00 for hiring an unlicensed contractor!  Even if you, the homeowner, pull your own permit you must hire a licensed contractor to do the actual work.  Should you have any questions about this please call your local county or city building department for information BEFORE you start any project. REMEMBER..........unlicensed contracting in the state of Florida is a felony.

Q.  What about price?

A.  In home improvements, just like anything else, there are all kinds of  prices out there.  Remember the adage "you get what you pay for" because it wouldn't be an old saying if there wasn't something to it.  Our pricing is the most competitive in the marketplace and our quality of service and warranty is second to none.

Q.  What about delays in installations due to the recent hurricanes??

A  The recent severe storms have caused a tremendous strain on all types of building supplies here in Florida.  Roofing has been the hardest hit and materials are now being "rationed" by the wholesale supply houses.  Due to this large demand and the practices of these suppliers we are now bringing truckloads of product in from the Northern states.  We can have your new roof installed in 2-4 weeks depending on weather conditions.  NO other company will provide this level of service!

Q.  I know what shingles are, and I know what tile roofs are, what is a "single-ply"     membrane roof system?

A.  Single-ply membrane roofs have been used in commercial construction for over 50 years.  Unlike shingles or metal roofing, membrane roofs are a true "water proofer" instead of being "water shedders."  In other words membrane roofs are designed to not leak even under standing water.  Besides the commercial application of this product it makes an ideal roofing system for manufactured homes or conventional homes with flat or low-sloped roof designs.  Many of the older homes in Florida have a gravel surface.  An insulated membrane roof system is the ONLY way to permanently fix these older roofs and will last a lifetime.

Q.  OK, I'm convinced that Comfort Seal not only knows roofing products but also the correct way to apply them.  How do I arrange for Comfort Seal to become my roofing contractor?

A.  That's the easy part.  Just give us a call at 1-800-782-4513 and we'll be glad to discuss your roofing project.  We will make suggestions and give you a price idea over the phone, thus eliminating unnecessary trips or appointments.  Should you decide to have us out to your home all that we ask is that you're ready to make a decision.  The owner of the company personally comes out to your home or business, we do not use any sales representatives for this most important part of the installation process................  Give us a call today!
